Many coffee shops, including Starbucks, Dunkin’ and others, are beginning to offer cold, fruity drinks called refreshers. What are in these drinks? We are diving in to find out.
Starbucks has made a name for their Starbucks Refreshers™, but have you ever wanted to know what is in them? According to their website, it is a new take on quenching thirst while also providing natural energy. The energy comes from green coffee extract, which is made from unroasted 100% arabica beans.
“resulting in delicious, low calorie refreshment with a boost of natural energy from caffeine”
Starbucks also adds real fruit juice to add to these sweet and low-calorie beverages. Today, Starbucks offers more than 12 different flavors of their widely-known refreshers.
Dunkin’ has also just jumped onto the refresher train, offering regular and coconut milk refreshers to their customers to add variety to their already colorful menu. The energy in these refreshers comes from green tea and they offer flavors such as Strawberry Dragonfruit and Peach Passion Fruit.
